If you have trouble falling asleep, staying awake or sleeping through the night, you are not alone. Your body needs adequate sleep in order to function, remain alert and stay healthy. The state-of-the art Sleep Diagnostics Center at Alton Memorial Hospital is here to help you get a good night’s sleep again. Our sleep lab is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
To ensure your comfort, each private room has a select comfort sleep number bed, flat screen television and private bathroom located in the room. If needed, a private room is available for a caregiver with prior notice.
If you are experiencing breathing problems, such as sleep apnea our Center offers CPAP, or continuous positive airway pressure, as a treatment. CPAP uses mild air pressure to keep the airways open using a CPAP machine. Our registered sleep technologists are on hand to study your sleep patterns under the guidance of certified sleep specialists Puja Gurung, MD, and Ajitesh Rai, MD.
