Dr. David Harmon, MD, a board-certified physician specializing in palliative medicine, has joined the staff at Alton Memorial Hospital. As a part of the palliative care team, he will provide comprehensive services to help relieve the pain, symptoms and burden of serious illness for patients and their families. The AMH Wound Care Center achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 24 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction of 95 percent, a 95 percent wound healing rate within 21 median days to heal.

Officials from Alton Memorial Hospital, the Alton community, BJC and Siteman Cancer Center gathered under a big tent on the AMH parking lot to announce that AMH has joined the Siteman Cancer Network. Network membership provides more direct access to cancer prevention and control strategies. Patients also will have streamlined access to highly specialized treatments and technologies, including clinical trials, at Siteman.
Alton Memorial Hospital's volunteers were honored at the annual Volunteer Luncheon held April 11 at the Best Western Premier in Alton. The luncheon had a superhero theme, fitting for a group which logged more than 16,000 hours in 2018.
