The AMH Human Motion Institute has begun using a new tool called the Athletic Movement Index (AMI) test. AMI uses wearable technology to screen athletes and patients for risk of injury.
"It was particularly designed with ACL injuries in mind and is regularly ordered by Dr. Aaron Omotola for return to sport for our area," says Juliann Marth, an HMI physical therapist. "It is used for pre-season screening for many NFL teams and collegiate teams. Due to the high risk of ACL injuries we see in local female sports, we thought it would be helpful to start screening at area high schools."
If interested in more information or to schedule an assessment, please contact Juliann Marth at [email protected] or call 618-433-6496. Juliann is also trained and seeing patients for concussion rehab.
